Dan Feshbach
Chairman and Co-Founder
Almost 20 years ago, Mr. Feshbach founded LoanPerformance, Inc., a financial technology and predictive modeling business with a client base of over 100 of the leading national financial institutions in the mortgage market. He has served as its President and CEO ever since. Mr. Feshbach is a nationally recognized figure in his industry. His interest in Animated Speech derives from his experience with his autistic son and he is one of four founders of the Oak Hill School in Marin City for children with severe learning disabilities.
Walter Schwartz
Vice President of Product Development
Mr. Schwartz has 25 years' experience managing commercial software products and businesses where he brought several highly innovative products to positions of market leadership. Prior to joining Animated Speech Corporation, he was COO of blaxxun interactive, the largest provider of 3D virtual reality software. Previously, Mr. Schwartz headed Micrografx' process charting software business (1991-6), brought the first Windows-based presentation software product to market with Xerox (1987), and developed the first commercial use of word chart presentations (1983). He holds both a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from Cornell University.
Dr. Lauren Franke
Psy.D, CCC/SP, Educational Content and Design
As a licensed clinical psychologist and language-speech pathologist, Dr. Franke has spent the last 25 years in private and clinical practice with an emphasis on the diagnosis and treatment of language disorders, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, learning disorders and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Dr. Franke also consults with school districts providing training to professionals and parents regarding diagnosing developmental disorders and treatment strategies for expressive language development, improving language comprehension, and social-pragmatic skills. She also serves as the director of the Scottish Rite Language Clinic in Long Beach, CA.
Pamela Connors
Educational Content and Design
As Director of the Tucker-Maxon Oral School Technology Center, Connors pioneered the use of Baldi and the Vocabulary Tutor with deaf and hard of hearing kids, as well as teachers and parents. She has run numerous field trials of prototype vocabulary tutor programs at various schools around the country. Ms.Connors also has served as an instructor in the deaf and hard of hearing treacher training program at Lewis and Clark College and has delivered numerous presentations on how computerized language programs can facilitate speech and hearing development.
